Chalet Gaillard

Chalet Gaillard is a traditional chalet with only six appartments, offering self-catered accomodation with stunning views and access to the National Park. As well as easy access to the lifts and pistes.

General Information

The chalet itself is particularly attractive being constructed of timber and stone with a natural slate roof. Access to the apartment from the road is from a flight of steps. Number 1 is the first which visitors see. The remainder are offset giving the illusion that number 1 is an individual chalet.

Situated in a quiet and peaceful setting on the edge of the National Park, there are stunning south west facing views from the lounge/dining room up to Mont Vallon.

The chalet is approx 100 yards from the local supermarket and an easy 5 minutes walk to the ski lifts and ski school.

The apartment is offered on a self-catering basis.

Accomodation Details

The accommodation is on three floors offering a good standard of accommodation with six bedrooms and is ideal for two families or 10 adults.

The accomodation comprises:

Main Floor:

  • An open plan lounge, dining area (seats 10) and kitchen opening on to a large south west facing balcony. Theres is also a CD player. The kitchen includes 2 ovens, 2 fridges, microwave, dishwasher and double sink.
  • Small twin bedded room (1).
  • Separate shower room with w.c. and washbasin which doubles as a cloakroom.

Lower floor:

  • Access is by a steep staircase which is unsuitable for small children.
  • Twin bedded room (2) with private shower, washbasin and w.c. This room also has two further beds on a raised platform, which are ideal for children and teenagers.
  • Twin bedded room (3) with private bathroom with w.c.

First floor: (Note: The ceiling height on this floor is 1.8 metres.)

  • Small lounge area on the landing with cable television.
  • Double bedded room (4) with washbasin.

  • Bathroom with w.c., washbasin and a further separate w.c.

Additional Facilities

  • Close to the apartment’s front door is a heated boot room.
  • A separate lock up garage is available. It can house a car and is also used as a ski locker.
  •  Wifi is available throughout the apartment. There is no telephone.
  • Bed linen & towels (bath and hand) are provided for up to 10 guests. Extra linen can be oraganised at an additional cost.
  • There will be basic food supplies on arrival (tea, coffee, milk and some non perishable items.)
  • Our staff, who look after another apartment nearby, will greet you on arrival and see you out at the end of your stay. They are also available to help with any questions during you stay and can be contacted on 00 33 (0)479 085176.
  • There is no cleaning service for the chalet during the week. Guests are expected to keep the apartment in a clean and tidy state. A damage deposit of 250 Euros will be taken upon final payment.

Changeover Day

Changeover day is Saturday. In order to enable the staff to clean the apartment on changeover day, guests are requested to vacate the apartment by no later than 10.00 am and to arrive after 3.00 pm.
