Red Mountain
The Town
The attractive town of Rossland lies just three kilometres from the resort and at an elevation of 1023m is one of Canada's highest settlements. Rossland is a incredible place to live and the residents consider it to be "a little part of heaven!''
Small town, great vibe
Once a booming gold mining centre, in winter Rossland is a characteristic laid back ski town whose resident population of 4000 is supplemented by travellers from all over the globe who come to ride its infamous 'steep and deep' terrain. The town has a laid back scene and you will quickly find yourself feeling part of the community. You will stay in the town of Rossland and we believe this is the best way to integrate with the community and get a real seasonaires experience. If you were to stay at the resort you would feel cut off from all the town has to offer and feel more like a tourist than a seasonaire. There are several quality restaurants, bars and cafes as well as some excellent snowboard stores, gift shops, and a library.
The larger town of Trail is situated just 10 minutes down the mountain from Rossland and offers further services including a cinema, swimming pool and shopping mall.

Apres Ski
Situated in the roof space of the lodge at the base of the mountain is Rafters which is the best place for an après-ski drink and great nachos. Another popular drinking hole with the locals is The Rock Cut bar situated in the woods between Red Mountain and Rossland; and who could forget the Flying Steamshovel in Rossland the favourite hangout for all locals.
A NONSTOP top tip
The 11-week course in Rossland would suit the serious snowboarder who wants to ride some of the world's most consistent powder conditions at unquestionably one of the worlds best resorts – without any crowds! This is not a town for someone who is looking for non-stop partying, however there is a great local scene and much socialising with friends on the course and travellers doing the season.
