3-Week Improvement Courses

Course Structure

After six successful years of running these snowboard courses we're confident it's a winning formula! The following table provides a more detailed course overview...

Course Itinerary

Arrival Day Either join our group flight from London Heathrow or make your own travel arrangements and meet us at the airport for the NONSTOP transfer to the resort. Settle into your accommodation and either hit the pillow (recommended!) or get to know the others on the course over a few drinks.
Day 2 We'll take you on an orientation of the town and resort, pick up lift passes and meet your instructor for some light 'warm-up' riding. If you need to buy any equipment, our instructors can offer advice and the local shops will be aware of our course and are on hand to help.
Days 3-5 Our instructors will focus on improving your own personal snowboarding skills. Snowboarding development will be on all areas of the mountain, both on and off-piste and we'll be making the most of any powder days we receive. There will be an indoor Technical Session on snowboard tuning and maintenance when you'll learn about waxing, edge sharpening, and repairs.
Days 6-8 Explore the mountain and put your newly aquired skills and technique into practice with some freeriding time. This is also an opportunity to take our optional Avalanche Safety Course.
Days 9-12 The coaching continues with a joint focus on your personal snowboarding and exploring the mountain. Video analysis will help you pick up on your own areas for improvement.
Days 13-15 Enjoy some days off either on snow or relaxing in the town.
Days 16-19 Your final week of lessons, and the final chance to perfect the new skills you have been learning. This week we provide you with two private sessions with your instructor (1.5 hours long) and two group lessons in smaller more concentrated groups.
Days 20-21 Final chance to freeride, or seize the chance to go cat-boarding, a highlight for many (offered in Fernie). We hold a farewell dinner and then its back to the airport for many, or a snowboard instructor job for others.

Please note that due to the holiday season our courses over New Year arrive on a Sunday and depart on a Saturday.
