Extra Activities
To supplement the skills developed during the snowboard coaching we organise a couple of additional courses that are aimed at giving you the chance to experience Canadian mountain life. These mainly take place on the weekends although there will also be plenty of time for freeriding.
Snowboard maintenance clinic
We include comprehensive tuition covering snowboard design and construction plus tuning and maintenance techniques including base preparation, edge sharpening and waxing. For those that have done this session before it should act as a useful reminder.

Hitting the park at Kimberley, a local resort
Local ski resort trips
The season lift pass, included in the course package, is also valid at Kimberley Ski Resort - a fun local mountain about 1.5 hours from Fernie. It's well worth checking this resort out while you're in Canada. Additionally, Castle Mountain ski resort is also approximately 1.5 hours from Fernie and is famed for steep terrain with great tree riding.
