Which course is for you?

Become a snowboard instructor

If you’re set on becoming a snowboard instructor then we advise gaining your level 2 qualification as quickly as possible. It makes it easier to get the best jobs and helps if you want to instruct outside of Canada. The best options for you are:

11-week snowboard instructor course

This is, if you like, the ‘fast track’ into the industry as it enables you to get to level 2 in the shortest amount of time. At the end of the course many of our clients head down to the Southern hemisphere to instruct in New Zealand, Australia or South America. They will then return to Canada the following winter. During the course you will be given plenty of advise on how and when to apply for jobs and visa’s, as well as contact names and resort director’s all around the world.

3-week snowboard instructor course

You should consider our 3-week snowboard instructor course if you can’t commit to 11 weeks. This course enables you to take level 1 and, subject to having a work visa (www.bunac.org for more details) you could instruct for the remainder of the season.

5-week snowboard instructor

Looking to get your level 1 but not quite ready for the 3-week course? Our 5-week course is great for anyone looking for a little more preparation time before the level 1 exam. The first two weeks of the course are focused solely on improving your snowboarding to get you looking like a pro. The instructor training then begins in week 3, where you will start to cover all elements of instructing as well as continuing with the development of your personal riding.
